6 Months Old

Sitting at the table like a big man Our little man at 6 months
I can't believe Colton is 6 months old today. He has grown up so much. He is such a little man.
He loves to eat peas, squash, sweet potatoes, and of course his bottles. He loves to walk with help and is rolling, but hates it when he lands on his tummy, it's kinda funny. He has had a couple of haircuts and has had the flu. He is so much fun, he laughs and tries to talk and is such a blessing and joy to our family. The time has just flown by and it amazes me at how much he does and wants to do on his own. He is trying to feed himself and really wants to eat grownup food. He sits at the table when we eat, and loves being a part of it. He has started riding in the shopping carts and sitting at the table in restruants. We sure do love our little man, and am so grateful he is part of our family. Keep smiling!!!

ONE SOCK WONDER

Colton has a new game where he will pull off one sock and laugh and suck on his foot. He thinks it is funny. I finally got some video of it, kinda, they never do it when you pull out a camera.

Then he just wanted to play-

"EGG"STRA Special Day!

A Parker tradition for Easter is to keep out one egg, that is called a suicide egg. And you mix a little of every color, plop the egg in, leave it overnight and see how it comes out the next morning. When we were kids, whoever found the suicide egg, would get money for it. Usually a dollar. It was a lot of fun. I'm glad Matt wanted to carry on that tradition. OUR BEAUTIFUL SUICIDE EGG THE OTHER SIDE The Easter Bunny was good to us Becky's Eggs Matt's Eggs Matt, Colton, Emilia ready in their Easter clothes Getting Ready to color our eggs All of our colors Colton wanted to really help Mom and Dad just like little kids, having fun coloring! Saturday we colored eggs, well Matt and I did. We had a lot of fun doing it. We kept out one for our suicide egg. It actually turned out pretty cool. Then we got a phone call at 11:30 at night, it was our next door neighbor, she was in labor and needed to go to the hospital, they wanted to know if I would come over and sleep on the couch and listen for Emilia, their 3 yr old. She is a doll. So, I went next door and Matt took care of Colton. Nolene, my neighbor, isn't due for 5 more weeks, so they are trying to keep the baby in. She still hasn't had it, but is still consistently contracting. But baby and mom are fine, she hasn't dialated very far. Anyways, Sunday morning, was kinda crazy the Easter Bunny came and we had Emilia. We all got ready for church, it was fun getting a little girl ready for church in such a pretty Easter dress, she was way excited. We went to Sacrament, then took Emilia to the hospital to see her mom and dad, we did a little egg hunt there for her in the hospital room. Then we all came back home and I made deviled eggs and a jello salad. Emilia went with her dad while we went to Matt's mom and dad's for Easter dinner. We had invited the Sister Missionaries over for Easter dinner, because I was planning on doing dinner, to give Arla a break, but it ended up that everyone wanted to go to Arla's for dinner,so she ended up doing dinner. What a woman, total we had about 30 people. It was a lot of fun. We got home and Colton was broken out in a rash really bad, from his Ezema, the Dr. had told us to put Flax seed oil on it, well not a good thing, he went crazy for about two days. Up every hour or more. Needless to say, I didn't have much sleep. But, we did have a great Easter. It was a beautiful day about 65 degrees, and sunny. Church was really nice and we had fun serving those around us. My mom and dad were in Wyoming with work, so they didn't get to spend the holiday with any family. That was sad! Next year will be fun, because Colton will be able to hunt for eggs.

February Update

We had such a fun month. It started out with our move and unpacking, Matt concentrating on school, and Colton’s first haircut. Colton this month has had a lot of firsts. He got his first haircut, ate cereal for the first time and also took his first steps with help. He met his cousins and Aunts and Uncles for the first time and had his first plane ride. He did really well on the plane ride, everyone on the plane thought he was so cute. Then we got to spend time with our family in Az. It was so fun being with you all and seeing Brody. I can’t believe how fast all the kids have grown. Colton loves his cousins, he was so amazed by them and gave them lots of loves. Colton and I flew to Az. on the 19th and Matt followed on the 22nd. I was nervous about flying alone with Colton; my biggest fear was that he would cry the whole time. Thank goodness he didn’t. While Matt was still home we had a flood in our apartment. The water heater safety valve broke and flooded our front room. I’m glad Matt was still home and that it didn’t happen while we were both in Az. Also on a sadder note, Matt’s dad suffered a stroke while we were in Az. He is doing fine now and is expected to come home soon. Dad is a fighter and you can’t tell really that anything happened to him. We love him and glad that he is home now. Matt is busy trying to staff his Webloes Wilderness camp. He is excited to be the Director and get that experience, so that hopefully he will be hired on full time. He has some good connections. Well, that is about all for our exciting month. We love you all.

I love Food !!

So, Colton has started eating squash and peas and he loves them. He loves eating and using a spoon. He tries to help mom while he eats and it's quite messy. I can't believe how fast he is growing up. He is walking while holding our hands. He still won't try to crawl, has no interest in it. But, he loves to walk. Boy, when he figures out how to keep his balance, I'm going to be in trouble, because he is going to take off!
