Colton Talking

Colton's new thing is to talk non-stop. He loves to talk. Doesn't matter if anyone is listening or not. I guess he gets that from his mama. He loves to arch his back and pick his butt up. His dad did that when he was little.

They Call Me Elvis

When Colton was still inside me, we watched an Elvis tribute program one night with Grandma Parker and Colton went crazy inside me. He loved it, he just started kicking and rolling. It was funny, as soon as he would quite singing, Colton stopped.
Well, since Colton has been born and has heard an Elvis song, he still loves it. Now he does the little Elvis lip. I tried to capture it. You can kinda see it, I will keep trying to get a better picture.

New Year

Well, everyone has wanted us to start a blog, so with the new year, I've decided to give it a try. I will probably need help doing this.
Here goes-
Wow, what a month. This has been a very exciting month for our little family. Colton got a really bad cold. It was so sad to hear him cough and be miserable. Then he gave his cold to Matt, he in return was very miserable. After much prayer and fasting we decided that Matt needed to concentrate on school. So, we applied for student housing, so we could be closer to school, on a Friday and we were called on Tuesday that there was an apartment available. Usually it takes about 6 months to get one. So, we started packing & moved. Matt was let go at Delta, because he was sick and had 3 instances in 6 months. But, it all worked out, because he is able to work with mom and dad while dad is healing. We are looking into grants and possibly student loans. I know everything will work out. Our new place is quite a bit smaller, it is two bedrooms. We are trying to find a way to fit everything in. But, we will get it. We had help from our old ward and new ward in loading and unloading the truck. We still need to finish cleaning the condo in Eagle Mt. Colton had his first sleep over with Grandad & Grandma; it was definitely harder on me. And yes, you can spoil a 4 month old, he had Grandmaitis. He didn’t want anything to do with me for the first night. He has started grabbing things and laughing a lot more. He is also just like his mama and loves to talk. He is so fun. He looks a lot like Matt and acts like him. He has my eyes, big and blue and my nose. He has his dad’s cute little ears and his body, long torso and short legs. We found out when he got his shots that he has eczema really bad. They gave us some medicine for it, and told us to use baby oil for his face, one problem; he is allergic to baby oil. Hopefully it will go away. His hair has gotten lighter, but still has a full head. He loves to stand and is starting to reach for people. It is so much fun. At his 4 month he weighed 12 lbs 10 oz and was 25 ½ in. long. He is just a growing boy. We are so excited to come and visit everyone in Az. Next month. We are so excited to meet Brody and play with everyone else and to have you all meet Colton.
